From the Promotion Enquiry - New Promotions window:
Note: Errors can also be actioned from the Promotion Enquiry - Current promotions window.
1. Any promotion displayed in red contains errors. Highlight the promotion and click Error.
The Promotion maintenance - Promotion detail error list window is displayed.
a. Barcode – displays the products main barcode.
b. Product name - displays the product name.
c. Promo code – displays the promotion code.
d. Error type – displays error type.
e. Error description – displays error descriptions.
f. Cost – displays the product’s unit cost.
f. Retail – displays the product’s retail price.
h. New Promo – displays the promo price.
i. Existing Promo – if the error is caused by a conflicting promotion, the existing promo price is displayed.
j. Stock Card – opens the Product Edit window.
k. Print – allows the error list to be printed.
l. Delete - deletes the product from this promotion.
m. Accept – accepts the error and the product will be included in the promotion.
n. Accept All will accept ALL errors and include all products in the promotion.
o. Pg Up – navigates to the next page.
p. Pg Dn – navigates to the previous page.
q. Prev – returns to the window where the error list was opened from.
r. Cancel - closes the error list.
2. Highlight and action the errors.
Note: Use Accept All with caution, if the Retail price is less than the Promo price, the product will scan at the cheaper price (if the retail price is $0.00, it will scan at $0.00 at the till).
- The table below provides the types of promotional errors that can occur and the actions that can be taken to resolve these errors

| Invalid promotion type | The promotion type in the imported promotion file is not a valid promotion type. | Ask your head office to correct the promotion type in the file and send the new version of the promotional file. |
Product RRP is less than promotion price | The product’s retail price is lower than its promotional price. | Either:

The product be added to the promotion but will scan at the cheaper price and not the promotional price. The product will remain RED in Promotion Maintenance. |
Promotion price is less than cost price | The product’s promotional price is lower than its cost price. | Either:
Or
The product will be added to the promotion and consequently, it will be sold at a negative GP%. |
| MNPN not found | Minfos cannot find the product in your database. | Follow the steps below: 1. Delete the imported promotion file. 2. Run all available wholesaler and MNPN supplier updates. 3. Re-import the promotion file. 4. If you still receive an error, contact your head office. |
Conflicting Promotion
| The product is in another promotion that has a date range that overlaps with the promotion that you are viewing. | Either:
The product is deleted from the existing promotion and added to this promotion. Or
The product is deleted from this promotion and stays in the existing promotion. |
Product is a drug* | The product is a drug. You can add a drug to a promotion, if required. | Either:
The product will stay in the promotion. Or
The product is deleted from this promotion. |
Product is protected* | The product is protected, Schedule 3 or higher or marked as a drug in the database. You can add a protected product to a promotion, if required. | Either:
The product will stay in the promotion. Or
The product is deleted from this promotion. |
Promotion price is less than $0.00 | The product’s promotional price is less than $0.00. | Do not accept the error. The promotion price needs to be corrected, refer to Change promotion prices in a Set Sales Price promotion. |
Set price is less than $0.00 | The promotion is a set sales price promotion, and the set sales price is less than $0.00. | Do not accept the error. The promotion price needs to be corrected, refer to Change promotion prices in a Set Sales Price promotion. |
| Product is neither Qualifying or Discountable | The promotion is a multibuy promotion, and the product is no one of the qualifying or discountable products for the promotion. | Ask your head office to correct the promotion type in the file and send the new version of the promotional file. |
* Refer to Ignore 'Is Protected' and 'Is Drug' Promotion Error Types to adjust your configuration so these errors do not display.
3. After you have reviewed and actions all errors you are ready to start the promotion. Refer to Start a Promotion.
