1. From the Clinical Interventions Maintenance window, select the clinical intervention you wish to change, then click view.
Alternatively, from the Script Options window, click the Clinical Intervention menu item and then click the Okay button.
The Clinical Intervention Recording window is displayed, and populated with the details of the selected clinical intervention.
2. Make the required change to the clinical intervention record:
A. In the Customer field enter the surname of the customer for whom you want to record a clinical intervention, and then press [TAB]. The Customer Search window is displayed. Select the required customer.
If the clinical intervention was added from the Script Options window, you cannot change this field.
B. In the Drug field, enter part of the name of the drug, and then press [TAB]. The Product Search window is then displayed. Select the required drug.
If the clinical intervention was added from the Script Options window. you cannot change this field.
C. In the Pharmacist field, enter the initials of the pharmacist who performed the intervention.
If the clinical intervention was added from the Script Options window, you cannot change this field.
D. In the Dr. field select the required doctor.
If the clinical intervention was added from the Script Options window, you cannot change this field.
E. In the Category combo box, select the one category that best describes the nature of the clinical intervention. The available options are:
- Drug selection
- Over or Underdose
- Compliance
- Undertreated
- Monitoring
- Education or Information
- Not Classifiable
- Toxicity or adverse reaction
F. In the Classification dropdown list, select the one classification within the selected category that best describes the nature of the clinical intervention.
G. In the Notes field, enter/change any additional information that you think should be included in the clinical intervention record.
H. In the Time Spent field, enter the total number of minutes that have been spent on clinical interventions regarding the selected drug for the selected customer.
I. In the Select up to 4 Recommendations list, select between one and four options from the list that best describe the recommendations made to the customer during the clinical intervention. Click an option in this list to select it. To de-select an option, click it again.
Note: If you want to clear the details you have entered in the Category, Classification, and Recommendations controls, click the Reset button.
3. Click the Save button to save the details you have entered.
The Save Clinical Intervention? prompt is displayed.
4. Enter your initials in the field and click the OK button to save the clinical intervention and return to the Clinical Intervention Recording window.
5. When you have finished editing the clinical intervention and have saved your changes, click the OK button to close the Clinical Intervention Recording screen.
6. After you have saved the clinical intervention, a summary of the clinical intervention is displayed in the Summary table at the bottom of the Clinical Intervention Recording window. This table displays all of the selected customer’s clinical intervention records for the selected drug.
7. Click the Okay button to close the Clinical Intervention Recording window and return to the Clinical Interventions Maintenance window.
