The Special Access Scheme (SAS) allows certain health practitioners to access therapeutic goods (such as medicines, medical devices or biologicals) that are not included in the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG) for a single patient. Therapeutic goods that are not included in the ARTG (and are not otherwise exempt from being in the ARTG) are described by the TGA as 'unapproved'.

Manage SAS Drugs in Minfos
1. If the drug is not in your database, please send an email to help@minfos.com.au and include the following information:
- Product Name
- Active ingredient/s
- Strength
- Pack size
- Barcode
- Supplier and supplier PDE
- Copy of the invoice, and
- An image of the product if possible
2. Minfos Database will then action your request to add the product and advise what Supplier MNPN Update is required to add the product to your database.
Note: If you are Multi-store pharmacy, you will need your Head Office to run the supplier update on your behalf.
3. Once the product has been added via the update, invoice the product in to Minfos.
4. Dispense as a Private script.
Note: The product will not have Pregnancy warnings or CAL's attached until the next Dispense Update runs.
