Broken pack quantities are the result of dispensing a quantity less than the full pack quantity. The way Minfos displays the stock on hand of a broken pack is dependent on the Broken Pack decreases SOH configuration setting.
The Broken Pack decreases SOH configuration is unchecked by default.
If the Broken Pack decreases SOH configuration is unchecked:
Minfos treats a broken pack as a full pack, until the full pack quantity has been dispensed.
The sub-units are the individual units that make up a whole pack. For example, one full pack of APO-AMITRIPTYLINE TAB 25MG 50 is comprised of 50 sub-units.
When a partial or broken pack is dispensed, you can view the sub-units in the Product Stock on Hand Edit window.Using the example above:
a. There are ten packs of APO-AMITRIPTYLINE TAB 25MG 50, including one partial or broken pack.
b. The broken pack has 30 sub-units available inside it.
If the Broken Pack decreases SOH configuration is checked:
Minfos does not count a broken pack in the total stock on hand. The available sub-units are displayed in the Product Stock on Hand Edit window.Using the example above:
a. There are nine packs of APO-AMITRIPTYLINE TAB 25MG 50, not including one partial or broken pack.
b. The broken pack has 30 sub-units available inside it.
Use the Broken Pack Quantities Report to view products that have a broken pack SOH recorded.
