This allows you to set a mark-up, dispensing fee and base cost for a range of products in the Drug Pricing window. For more information on drug pricing, refer to Dispense Pricing Overview.

From the Drug Pricing window:

1. Click Range Tag.

The Apply Private Pricing window is displayed.

2. Select required Sort Order: Defaults to Company, click the dropdown and select from:

  • Product Name
  • I.E.U
  • Class
  • Brand
  • Department
  • Company
  • Pricing Policy
  • Location
  • Product Group: Do not select this option
  • Range: Do not select this option
  • Family Code: Do not select this option
  • Product Number

3. From & To: Enter required range, type in code or name, press [Tab] to search. The appropriate Search Window is displayed. Highlight the correct option and click Okay.

4. Cost Range: This allows you to further filter your selected Sort Order to a cost range e.g. all products in Apotex company with a cost from $5.00 to $15.00. To use Cost Range, check the Enable Range checkbox.

Note: If Cost Range is not selected, all products in the selected Sort Order will be updated.

5. Click the Cost Based On dropdown and select the required option, you can choose from:

  • 0. Last Buy Price: The cost from the stock card
  • 1. List Price: The list price from the wholesaler
  • 2. Drug Cost: The drug cost is provided by PBS and updated during the dispense updates monthly

6. Enter the required Minimum Cost e.g. 5.00 and enter the required Maximum Cost e.g. 15.00.

Note: Only products with a cost price between the Minimum Cost and Maximum Cost will be changed.

7. Check the required checkboxes in the Pricing Options section and click the appropriate dropdown and make your selection.

Note: The Mark-Up and Fee options can be set in the Private Pricing Table.
  • Default (To Guild Recommended): This will remove the pricing for any drugs that currently have Pricing Table prices set, these drugs will be updated to NHS pricing
Note: This will not change any drugs that have a Fixed Price or Fixed Price Mark-Up set.
  • Mark-Up: This will set any drugs in the selected Range to have the mark-up selected from the dropdown
  • Fee: This will set any drugs in the selected Range to have the fee selected from the dropdown
  • Base Cost: This will set any drugs in the selected Rangeto have the base cost selected from the dropdown, options are:
    • 0. Last Buy Price: The cost from the stockcard
    • 1. List Price: The list price from the wholesaler
    • 2. Drug Cost: The drug cost is provided by PBS and updated during the dispense updates monthly

8. Click OK to update the pricing.

The Processing window is displayed.

The Drug Pricing window is re-displayed and the pricing has been updated for the products in the selected range and will display PT.
