Pharmacies can manage the monitored status of any product that is not marked as a drug. This functionality allows these items to be uploaded to RTPM (Real Time Prescription Monitoring) systems after they have been dispensed.
Manage the monitored status of a stockcard
From the Stock Manager module:
- Click Product Maintenance.
The Product Maintenance window is displayed.
- Select Find and search for the relevant stockcard. If the product does not exist in your database, click Add and create the stockcard. Refer to Add Local Products to Product Maintenance manually.
- Select the stockcard and click Change.
The Product Edit window is displayed.
- On the Details tab check Dispensable.
- Click the Categories tab.
- In the Generic field, enter part of the name of the active ingredient/s and press [Tab].
The Generic Search window is displayed.
- Select the relevant drug and click OK.
Note The Generics list is managed by Minfos Master Database and cannot be locally managed in your system.
- Click the Drug tab.
- Select the Schedule from the dropdown menu.
- Check Monitored.
- Click OK to save.
Now when the item is dispensed the script will be uploaded to your RTPM system.
Warning To be successfully uploaded to RTPM, the dispensed stockcard must have: 1. The Dispensable checkbox checked 2. The relevant Generic selected in the Category tab 3. The Schedule selected in the Drug tab All three fields must be present for the script to upload.
