Minfos Pilot Stores Only 
This article is intended for Minfos Pilot stores only. It contains new functionality that is not generally available at this time. 

Overview

Scan rebates are discounts funded by companies/suppliers in return for promoting and selling specific products. Using the Minfos Scan Rebates functionality, your banner group can set up scan rebates in your pharmacy. You can then view and report on the scan rebates in stock cards and the Sales By Range, Product Audit and Scan Rebate reports.

Minfos supports 2 types of scan rebates:

• Promotional Scan Rebates - Provided in line with the promotional period
• Everyday Scan Rebates – Available ongoing

Note    
Where a product is on both an Everyday Scan Rebate and a Promotional Scan Rebate, the two rebate amounts are added together
Products that have a Scan Rebate must be sold at the Till to record the Scan Rebate. Products sold be other means (e.g. Stock Transfer or Invoice to Account from Dispense) will not be included in Scan Rebate reporting
When voiding a sale, the original Scan Rebate value applied at the time of the transaction will be used for the reversal
No Scan Rebate is applied to products refunded by Cancel Mode or Return

View Scan Rebates on stockcards

Scan Rebate information is available to view in product stock cards.

The Details tab:

The current Scan Rebate value is displayed in the Details tab of each stockcard. This value is the sum of any current rebates (Everyday + Promotional) for the product.

The Scan Rebates tab:

The Scan Rebates tab displays a list of current, future and past (up to 3 months old) scan rebates for the product.

The following information is displayed for each scan rebate:

• Start Date
• End Date (if available)
• Rebate Type
• Rebate Amount

Note    Past scan rebates are displayed in grey text.

Scan Rebate reporting

Scan rebate information can be viewed in the following reports:

• Sales By Range report
• Product Audit report
• Scan Rebates report

View Scan Rebate information in the Sales By Range report

When Scan Rebates is enabled, the Scan Rebates checkbox is automatically checked in the Sales By Range Report window.

When Scan Rebates is checked the scan rebate applied to any sales made during the selected period is displayed in the report.

The scan rebate value is considered in relevant calculations (such as Gross Profit calculations).

Note    To exclude Scan Rebate information from the report, uncheck Scan Rebates before clicking Run.

View Scan Rebate information in the Product Audit report

Changes to scan rebates are recorded and can be viewed in the Product Audit Report.

To include changes to scan rebates in the Product Audit Report check Scan Rebates in the Report Options group box.

Changes to Scan Rebates are displayed in the Product Audit Report.

View Scan Rebates in the Scan Rebates Report

The Scan Rebates Report provides visibility or all current and/or future Scan Rebates in your pharmacy.

From the Reporting module:

1. Click the Product menu.

2. Select 9. Scan Rebates Report.

The Scan Rebates Report window is displayed. 

3. Click the Report Type dropdown and select from:

• Product
• Department
• Company
• Brand
• IEU
• Class
• Location
• Price Policy

4. Check Report on the entire range to report on all products, or specify a product or category range in the From Code and To Code fields.

5. Use the checkboxes to choose to report on Current Scan Rebates or Future Scan Rebates. To report on both Current and Future Scan Rebates check both checkboxes.

6. Click Run to run the report.

The Scan Rebates Report is displayed.
